Panoramic Imaging

Panoramic View helps visualize widespread areas and anatomical relationships by creating wide-view images of a region of interest.

This is a panoramic view of the calf muscles acquired with the Aplio a550 system. With the a-Beam technology, the planes (fascia) between the different muscle groups can be clearly seen - along with the fibres within the muscles.

3D/4D Volume Acqusitions
3D imaging uses a surface rendering technique to obtain lifelike images of the fetal face. 4D imaging adds movement to the image. 3D volume imaging can also help obtain CT like slices through an organ such as the uterus when looking at location of fibroids, polyps as well as uterine cavity shape.

Luminance is an innovative new surface rendering technique that provides a softer, more natural visualization of the human skin resulting in images of almost photographic impression and quality. The function's freely movable light source gives you strong visual feedback on depth and detail. Changing the position of the light can help you identify pathological changes and skin defects better and with greater clarity, providing strong visual feedback on depth and detail from the first trimester onwards.
 

Shadowglass

3D visualisations of anatomical structures in combination with vascular flow.
 

Using this semi-transparent glass effect can help physicians assess different layers of tissue and position of vessels all at the same time. Shadow Glass combined with functional data may help clinicians to better understand pathology.

Auto Follicle Tracking

Automated counting of follicles using 3D acquisition of the ovary by identifying and quantifying the amount of hypoechoic areas in an acquired ovarian volume. Further measurements of the follicle dimensions can be obtained to help track follicle size over time. The systems' automated follicle count software largely benefits from the high image quality, allowing for fast and accurate determination of the amount and size the follicles.

Doppler Luminance

Doppler luminance displays the pitch of the Doppler to give colour a 3-Dimensional appearance. Available in all colour Doppler modes including colour Doppler imaging, Power Doppler, Advanced Dynamic Flow (ADF) and Superb Microvascular Imaging (SMI).
